Some cool geek dug up this little gem on youtube - Sci Fi cosplay in UK in 1982 featured in a news program.

I mean, back then, there wasn't any internet, people just came up with outfits by themselves and well, geek wasn't exactly cool or looked on as cool back then but still, I gotta take my hat off to those guys who slapped together awesome looking costumes like these.

Hmm so Danny Choo's latest blog post has stated he has just set up a company in Singapore.

As seen on this post

"I'm currently still in Singapore and will be here until the 21st - now that I've set up a company in Singapore, there is a lot to do to grow the business here. Anyway - stuff about the Singapore company comes in a different post."

I wonder what's he's up to.. hmm. Intriguing

Danny Choo really has come a long way. From the fish-out-of-water Asian kid born in East End, London who was passed from foster home to foster home, who used to get bullied, beat up a lot and then finding himself in Japan as well as diving into everything Anime. You've come a lonnng way bro. Good on you!

To know about Danny Choo, please read this post

What's SUPER AWESOME is she documented her entire process on her post and girls, if you wanna try this out for fun, by all means give it a go!

Anime fans would know Ikkitousen / Battle Vixens as one of those silly skantily clad girl shows about girls who beat each other up. Well, guess what? They're turning it into a MUSICAL THEATRE SHOW in Japan.

So it's like..a Cosplay Musical...?

Cosplay style musicals aren't uncommon in Japan. They've had Phoenix Wright, Sakura Wars, Prince of Tennis and all that kinds of stuff, usually for girls. Well now..they're venturing into Dude land with Ikkitousen the Musical.

I must say, the casting is pretty darn spot on. They really look like their characters!

Uh yeah... ok.. dollar signs lighting up for the guys who made this show and uh.. Otakus really dig this stuff so.. yeah....

Annie Leibovitz is my favorite photographer. I first encountered her work in Vanity Fair, the Harry Potter spread,  Goblet of Fire in 2001. That showcase just blew my mind. The way she set up the cast, the lighting on set, sure they were promo photos but they captured the cast in such a way that I have never seen. It was like she really went to Hogwarts to photograph the characters just being themselves. And they just felt real in a strange surreal kind of way.

Ms Leibovitz has recently done a promo set for Les Miserables the movie for Vogue. These shots are more of the commercial side than the arty side but still, beautiful composition and lighting.

The film will be out in December and I CAN'T WAIT to see it!

Looks very Christmas Carol this one.
Amanda Seyfried as grown up Cosette
Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean
Master and Mistress of the House - Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen
The lovely Anne Hathaway as Fantine, without the wig. Just herself. This is my favorite of the set
Eddie Redmayne as Marius, Cosette's Lover
Russell Crowe as Javert, the man after Jean Valjean

Check out Annie Leibovitz other INSANELY amazing photos
