Posts wise, lots of people checked out Team Unicorn : ) Liked the 1000 posts achievement unlocked page for some bizarre reason and the WoW cosplay post is pretty popular too

Steve Spangler Science has this great recipe on how to make fake blood (for your zombie cosplay, stuff to make Halloween more awesome etc.)

I apologize that there's not much awesome stuff to report on until.. NEW YORK COMIC CON HAPPENS THURSDAY! MUAHAHAH. Wish I could be there. : (

In the mean time, Nerd Caliber has this great article that talks about 'Why People Can't Tell You What to Cosplay'

I've seen this happen a lot of times on forums where people ask 'eh.. I dunno what to cosplay, suggest me something'... and.. people don't really know what to say. Here's why.

In summary of the article

1. We honestly doesn't know what you look like

2. We also probably DO NOT want to know what you look like (unless you really are smokin hot, your photo would be everywhere)

3. The internets folks don't know you in real life

4. We also don't know how skilled you are crafting wise

5. We don't know how much $$ you're willing to spend

6. We don't know how much time you're willing to spend crafting, tailoring

7. We don't know when your nearest con event is

8. THERE'S JUST TOO MANY FRICKIN CHARACTERS TO CHOOSE FROM. 

9. People also don't really want to read a character profile of you.

10. End of the day, be really honest with yourself - read my previous article 'Know your look and cosplay to it'

Eurogamer found this great fan vid of the cosplayers of Eurogramer Expo! Check it!

It's amazing what fans can do. A hardcore My Little Pony fan decided to get together with a bunch of fans and sang this HILARIOUS song about CONVENTIONS. As reported from io9

"Griffin Lewis and Jenny Nicholson wrote this song for last weekend's Canterlot Gardens. It's an amazingly well executed piece based on the Stephen Sondheim-inspired "At the Gala" musical sequence from the episode "Best Night Ever." Nicholson herself does the voices of all six central ponies, with other folks chipping in as the chorus (which takes everyone down a peg with a bit of gentle mocking). And each pony's convention expectations perfectly fit her personality. Now if only there was a press person pony who could sing about cosplay photo safaris and the joys of sleep deprivation."

I'm not a Pony fan but this song just takes the cake and describes EVERYTHING about the con going experience
