Annie Leibovitz is my favorite photographer. I first encountered her work in Vanity Fair, the Harry Potter spread, Goblet of Fire in 2001. That showcase just blew my mind. The way she set up the cast, the lighting on set, sure they were promo photos but they captured the cast in such a way that I have never seen. It was like she really went to Hogwarts to photograph the characters just being themselves. And they just felt real in a strange surreal kind of way.
Ms Leibovitz has recently done a promo set for Les Miserables the movie for Vogue. These shots are more of the commercial side than the arty side but still, beautiful composition and lighting.
The film will be out in December and I CAN'T WAIT to see it!
Looks very Christmas Carol this one. |
